Wow.... Very nice.

It’s extremely rare that you find an original idea in the automotive world when everybody is stuck making the same cars. This unsuccessful but very interesting Honda is different from all other cars on the road.

It’s the Accord Crosstour and it’s supposed to combine elements of coupe, crossover and sedan. Normally, that would spell out Frankenstain’s monster, but in white, with huge wheels, it’s pretty awesome.

The huge wheels in question are the 20-inch CV3 concave ones from Vossen. These completely change the look of the car in combination with a lowered ride hight and what appears to be increased camber.

Notice the aggressiveness of this setup, how the concave rims extend all the way to the wheel lips. That’s what we call bagging a car. This Crosstour is equipped with Ksport coilovers using parts from various Accord sedan/coupes and is lowered around 4-4.5 inches.

The aftermarket industry in the US is focused on the Italian and German coupes and SUVs right now, and supercars are the darlings of the aftermarket wheels industry. However, nothing matches the impact of a cheaper car that can roll with the best of them after it received a bit of nipping and streamlining.

So how about a really cool Honda CR-V, is that Japanese enough to warrant a makeover. If it’s got a red paintjob than the answer has to be ‘yes’.

This bagged example sits low on a set of 22-inch VVS CV3 concave wheels from Vossen, finished in matte silver for added impact. These match the angular look of the Honda, especially around the grille which is a focal point for the car.
