Wow, this car looks good in the Cherry Red, and nice interior shot, I am going to guess that this is of the EX-L 4cyl (not sure if they are going to call a 4cyl a Touring, but I like the previously V6 only chrome door handles), due to the single exhaust.  Great find Jeff and Scott!

Well folks, looks like we may have a winner....
Hmmm, key fob next to shifter with no obvious key = keyless start?
Nice, this car is really shaping up to be the best Accord yet!

Honda Cars : Temple of Vtec Reader Chad Davis spies a 2013 Honda Civic? | 2013 New Honda Car Reviews 0

Hmmm, for those that don't know, Honda has accelerated their Mid-Model Life change on the redesigned Honda Civic due to panning of the car (Consumer Reports).....

Here is directly from www.vtec.net
"TOV reader Chad Davis sent this photo to us last night. The subject car was spotted in Ohio, and as you can see it's wearing one of Honda R&D's license plates, it's definitely a Civic, and it's taped up as if to hide something. This naturally leads one to conclude that we could be getting an early look at the hastily revised 9th generation Civic, which is due for the 2013 model year.

Hopefully we will get some more shots from different angles so we can see what's going on.

A big thanks to Chad Davis for sharing this photo with the TOV community."

Straight from www.vtec.net:

"One of our observant readers in Europe saw some new NSX design sketches on a French automotive blog and notified us. A quick search of the European Patent Office shows that Honda filed a set of six wireframe sketches of an open-roof NSX on 22nd February, along with the more traditional 3D renderings of the fixed roof version. As you can see the drop-top looks pretty much identical to the Avengers NSX. See all 12 images below."

Honda Cars : Temple of Vtec Rumour: New Civic to get a 'Refresh' for 2013?!? | 2013 New Honda Car Reviews 0

Unknown | 6:32 AM
Temple of VTEC
Temple of VTEC

Yesterday we received a bit of news that came as a little bit of a surprise. According to a source (who has been reliable in the past), Honda hosted a "Grassroots" meeting for West Coast Honda dealers yesterday. During this meeting, the dealers are said to have shared some of their comments and concerns about the 2012 Civic, and reportedly Honda's response was that a "very refreshed, and more aggressively styled Civic" would make its debut in December 2012, as a 2013 model.

We tried reaching out to some of the contacts we have in other regions to see if they had heard anything similar. The one that I heard back from indicated that they had not heard this information, but they had heard a few months back that there would be some tweaks to the '12 Civics (improved wheels/tires on the Civic LX, possibly some upgraded interior materials) and the car would be "relaunched" sometime in the near term.

Suffice it to say, we will be tracking this one.

Honda Cars : www.vtec.net: 2012 Honda CRV Update | 2013 New Honda Car Reviews 0

Above are all of the speculating that I could find on the topic....
This was taken right from TOV;

"Last week we attended the 2012 Honda Civic press event and were able to spend a considerable amount of seat time driving the new Civic models (mostly the Si). We can't tell you anything about the Civics until next week, but while we were there, we picked up on a few tidbits of potential interest to our readers. First of all, it seems like the plan is for Honda to reveal the 2012 CR-V (due in the fall) next week at the New York Auto Show. Honda won't officially confirm this, though, and as such we do not know what form the CR-V reveal will take - our guess is that we will see a concept of some form, rather than a functional prototype.

Sub-TSX model, "Super sportscar"/don't-call-it-an-NSX-but-we-will-refer-to-it-as-the-next-NSX-anyway
Not much to report here except that the sub-TSX is still in the works, and it seems like the Autumn '11 launch is still set. The main thing we heard was that it would not be something like the current Acura CSX (Canadian model) - which is essentially a higher-level trimmed Civic. We have been hearing for a while that this vehicle will be offered in both gasoline and hybrid versions. A past source indicated to us that it would be "very edgy" and "very affordable", with an "aggressive IS350" sort of feel to it.

With regards to the range topping "super-sportscar", John Mendel offered last that Takanobu Ito has definitely committed to bringing it to market. Unfortunately our truth serum didn't have enough time to take full effect, as John was mum on any further details. So all we have is yet another "confirmation" that the project is a go, even though it's already been essentially "confirmed" 2 or 3 other times.

Honda Cars : Temple of Vtec Find: ~200hp 2.4L For Civic Si Confirmed, R18 for other 2012 Civics | 2013 New Honda Car Reviews 0

Interesting, glad to hear the Si will get the 2.4l but I'd like to see more than the 200hp, say something like 225hp or more....
As we get closer to the FMC (Full Model Change) of the 2012 Civic, we've been hearing a little bit more about the updated engine family. First of all, the K24 that we've been telling you about for nearly a year is locked in. We've known about it for a long while, and we've also understood that it will be very similar to the TSX's K24 (complete with the tuner-unfriendly cast-in exhaust manifold), but the question mark has been "how much power will it develop?". Assuming our sources are correct, the upsized engine will be rated very close in power output to the current K20Z3. We don't know the exact number but it sounds like the rating is going to be in the range of 200-205hp. Obviously, with 20% more displacement we can expect the torque output to be significantly better than what the K20 delivers; it will likely in the neighborhood of 170lb-ft, as it is with the TSX.

In other Civic engine news, we're hearing that the non-Si Civic models will march forward with the same fuel-sipping 1.8L R18 engine that was introduced with the 8th generation models. We don't currently have any information concerning potential changes to the rated output but you can bet Honda will figure out a way to squeeze more fuel efficiency from it.

The 2012 Civic will appear in showrooms in the April/May 2011 timeframe.

Honda Cars : Temple of Vtec; Leaked: Official Japanese Brochure for CR-Z! | 2013 New Honda Car Reviews 0

Unknown | 2:42 PM
Temple of VTEC
Temple of VTEC

We just received the following email from one of our followers in Japan. Contained within are a number of photos of the official CR-Z Brochure, which were posted on various Japanese websites.

From what we can see, here are some of the specs: Length: 4080 mm (160.6 in.) Width: 1740 mm (68.5 in.) Height: 1395 mm (54.9 in.) Wheelbase: 2435 mm (95.9 in.) Engine: 1.5L i-VTEC + IMA Transmission: 6MT or CVT Power (ICE): 114ps@6000RPM Torque (ICE): 145 NM (107 lb-ft)@4800RPM Power (IMA): 14ps@1500RPM Torque (IMA): 78 NM (57 lb-ft)@1000RPM 0-100km/hr (0-62mph): 9.7 sec

Also notice the emphasis of LED lighting - in addition to the typical wing mirror indicators, it appears that the CR-Z will feature LED running lamps in the headlight cluster (pic 4).

UPDATE: In the comments below aznstuart has pointed out that the chart in pic 8 seems to indicate that the CR-Z will be offered in two versions, alpha and beta, with the alpha version apparently being a non-hybrid. . Upon taking a second look at the chart, it appears that while there will be alpha and beta trim levels, all trim levels will feature the IMA system (thanks danielgr).

Honda Cars : 2010 Honda CRV Spyshot? | 2013 New Honda Car Reviews 0

Unknown | 1:02 PM
Temple of VTEC
Temple of VTEC

The one on the left is the spyshot of a pretty un-camo'd CRV, with slight changes (as Honda usually does to a vehicle once it hits its 3rd year run), the one on the right is of the 2007-2009.
A forum user named "Puttz" at the Temple of VTEC took a picture of a manufacturer-plated CR-V in Dublin, Ohio near Honda's Marysville plant. In addition to a set of wheels that Puttz said were reminiscent of those on an RDX sketch, the grille is bigger and wearing a lot more chrome work. On the left is the spy shot, on the right is the 2009 CR-V. As another forum user noted, the 2-piece center section is somewhat of a return to the previous generation CR-V.

Beyond that, the bumper gets reshaped with a different profile leading into the lower front fascia, and the fog light housings look to be more integrated. If this is the 2010 CR-V, it appears Honda is only making minor changes to its popular cute-ute.

Honda Cars : TOV: Honda 4 Door Coupe?!? | 2013 New Honda Car Reviews 0

Unknown | 7:03 AM
Temple of VTEC
Temple of VTEC

Within the last week or so, there have been rumors concerning a new "4-door coupe" that Honda is said to be working on. Auto Motor und Sport (a German publication) asserted that this vehicle would be a new top level version of the European Accord (also known as the Acura TSX in North America). Auto Motor und Sport claims that the 4-door coupe will feature short front and rear overhangs as well as a coupe-like high beltline. AMuS further contends that base versions of this vehicle will likely be front-wheel-drive and use largely carryover (2.4L ~200hp 4-cylinder) powertrains. They also suggest that a Type-S version featuring a 260hp turbocharged 2.3L 4-cylinder, DSG double clutch transmission, and SH-AWD will be in the offering as well.

Now comes another story, this time from a Japanese outlet. Daniel Garcia Rodgriguez just returned from a quick visit to Japan and while he was there he picked up the latest issue of Holiday Auto magazine and scanned in these images. If you're not familar with the magazine, Holiday Auto is one of Japan's "car scoop" magazines. I'm not real clear on their track record on past scoop stories, but apparently they too have heard of this supposed 4-door coupe, and they have a slightly different take on what it will be. Here is what Daniel was able to decipher from the Japanese text:

"Jeff, I got something for you in Japan. Sorry for not having time to work out the text, but from what I understood very quickly, there is not much real information. Here is what I think I got of what seems Honda's answer to the "4door coupe" incipient market according to Hollyday-Auto (June 2009 issue):
- expect it for 2010 (calendar year).
- should sit in between the TL and TSX in terms of size (see the figures on the table).
- should get similar powertrain-transmission combo as the ZDX.
- styling wise, think about a dropped-off ZDX. Cheers, Daniel
Commentary: With several outlets jumping in on this rumor, it seems that there could be something to it, but if this vehicle is going to be based on the existing FF platform, I'd have to assume that these drawings are probably not very accurate. It's a great look, but for it to be pulled off properly, the front overhang needs to be shorter than just about anything Honda currently sells. This would make a fantastic vehicle to build upon Honda's on-again/off-again FR platform, but don't get your hopes up. Scanning the text of the article, I noticed a few English letters that caught my eye, particularly 'FR' and 'V8' along with 'SH-AWD'. Daniel assured me that the text of the Holiday Auto article makes mention of those things as items that Honda was working on, and the article makes it clear that Honda decided not to use that platform for this vehicle and instead to make it happen with existing technology. Ah, here we go again...

Honda Cars : TOV Rumours: 2010 Honda Odyssey | 2013 New Honda Car Reviews 0

Unknown | 6:18 AM
Temple of VTEC
Temple of VTEC

This just in from the ever resourceful Temple of Vtec on the 2010 Honda Odyssey.
Odyssey The Odyssey's been keeping a low profile at Honda for the past year or so. The MMC happened in the '08 model year so we're not expecting to see any dramatic changes until its FMC. We're not sure at this point whether or not the Odyssey will follow a "standard" 6-year model cycle, but if it does, the all-new one should be arriving next year as a 2011 model.
Summary: Honda's roomiest people mover marches on with few expected changes for 2010.
Watch For: FMC in 2011(?)
Available: Autumn

Just to add what I am expecting from the 2010 model;
-small revisions to the front grill, more of the 'truck' corporate grill (like the 'spyshot above')
-VCM making it's debut into the EX cloth model?
-No other major changes.
